Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Gateway provides industrial painting services to both the private and public sectors throughout the Mountain and Western state region. Gateway’s management has over 40 years of experience in all phases of abrasive blasting and the application of paint, special coatings and linings.
Gateway’s experience includes bridges, refineries and petrochemical plants, mining facilities, power plants, elevated and ground storage tanks, and waste and water facilities.
Adding to our capabilities is a staff that includes a NACE certified coating inspector and a full time safety professional. Gateway also holds both the QP1, Complex Structures, and QP2, Hazardous Paint Removal, certifications from SSPC.
Specialties
Hazardous Paint Removal
As a QP2 certified contractor, Gateway has completed numerous projects abating bridges, tanks, industrial structures and government housing units. We are equipped to perform to most rigorous containment requirements.
Plural Component Spray
Many of today's high performance maintenance coatings contain 100% solids and require special equipment, knowledge and experience to apply. Gateway has all three and has completed numerous successful projects utilizing products from most of the major suppliers of these products.
Carbon Fiber Composites
One of the newest technologies involves the use of “space age” carbon fiber for the repair of civil structures. Gateway has completed projects involving the repair of refinery structural steel and the internal repair of large diameter concrete water lines in the power industry.
Immersion Linings
Gateway installs coatings for immersion service in tanks, basins, and pipelines and for secondary containment applications.
